Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) has launched the European Private Income Fund, aiming to create a diversified portfolio of senior secured term loans to middle-market companies across Europe. The fund will focus on firms with strong market positions, high barriers to entry, and proven management teams, all of which contribute to generating robust and sustainable free cash flows.
In a move to boost liquidity for its investors, the fund plans to allocate around 10% of its capital to broadly syndicated loans and bonds. Additionally, the fund will integrate certain environmental and social criteria in line with Article 8 of the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).
Mark Jochims, Head of European Private Credit at MSIM, commented, “We are excited to provide our clients with access to the European direct lending market, which presents the potential for attractive risk-adjusted returns.”
