Kendall Jager, a young AI prodigy previously recognized by Forbes in its 30 Under 30 list, has been poached by Point72, marking her shift from Millennium to a new role at the prominent hedge fund. At just 29 years old, Jager has made a significant impact in the world of finance, and her talent has caught the attention of Point72, which has now appointed her as the Head of AI for Investment Services.
Jager, who previously worked at Millennium for several years, announced her new role on social media, though she did not specify the full scope of her responsibilities. However, it is expected that her expertise will be focused on automating various aspects of investment services at Point72, which include areas like risk, compliance, and operations.
With a background in applied mathematics and economics from Brown University, Jager joined Millennium in 2017 and quickly rose through the ranks to become a senior data scientist. Forbes, in 2022, highlighted her as a “critical member” of the team behind Millennium’s in-house machine learning and data science platform, particularly in the firm’s compliance department.
Jager’s move to Point72 signals her growing influence in the hedge fund world, and her work with AI and data science is likely to play a central role in shaping the future of investment strategies at her new firm.
