(NYSE: EGF) have approved the necessary proposals for its planned merger with BlackRock Income Trust, Inc. (NYSE: BKT). Following the reorganization, BKT will remain as the surviving fund.
The reorganization is expected to be completed on March 24, 2025, subject to standard closing conditions. The transition will be executed based on the net asset values of both funds at the time of completion.
