France stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Financials sectors led shares higher while losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 1.59%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Renault SA (EPA:RENA), which rose 0.40% or 0.16 points to trade at 39.17 at the close. Meanwhile, Orange SA (EPA:ORAN) added 0.32% or 0.04 points to end at 11.29 and Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:PUBP) was down 0.03% or 0.02 points to 72.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS), which fell 5.85% or 109.80 points to trade at 1,766.60 at the close. EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:ESLX) declined 3.38% or 5.92 points to end at 169.42 and Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) was down 3.18% or 4.12 points to 125.52.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Beneteau SA (EPA:CHBE) which rose 0.89% to 13.68, SES (EPA:SESFd) which was up 0.69% to settle at 6.56 and X Fab Silicon Foundries EV (EPA:XFAB) which gained 0.41% to close at 9.74.
The worst performers were CGG SA (EPA:GEPH) which was down 8.33% to 0.69 in late trade, Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS) which lost 5.85% to settle at 1,766.60 and Remy Cointreau (EPA:RCOP) which was down 5.58% to 122.60 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 392 to 115 and 103 ended unchanged.
Shares in Remy Cointreau (EPA:RCOP) fell to 3-years lows; losing 5.58% or 7.25 to 122.60.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.40% or 27.55 to $1,939.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.26% or 0.23 to hit $89.89 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.05 to trade at $93.58 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.36% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 105.07.
