Furthermore, Alumina Ltd (ASX: AWC) made noteworthy gains, with a 5.19% increase, adding 0.04 points to reach 0.81 by the close of trading.
Conversely, Kogan.com Ltd (ASX: KGN) experienced a 7.53% drop, losing 0.35 points and closing at 4.30. Brambles Ltd (ASX: BXB) was down by 5.65%, shedding 0.79 points to end at 13.19, while EML Payments Ltd (ASX: EML) saw a 5.58% decline, resulting in a loss of 0.07 points, closing at 1.10.
During the trading session, rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Sydney Stock Exchange, with 618 stocks on the upswing, 572 on the downswing, and 368 remaining unchanged.

The AUD/USD exchange rate remained unchanged at 0.63, while the AUD/JPY pair witnessed a 0.16% increase, reaching 95.24.
